A Prismm (AllSeated) alternative for wedding seating
Last checked October 23, 2026. Facts about Prismm come from its own website and help pages on that date. Prices and features change, so check Prismm's site before you decide.
Prismm started life in 2014 as AllSeated, the floor plan and seating tool many venues and wedding planners shared with their couples. It became Prismm in January 2024, and Cvent bought it in 2025. Prismm is now being folded into Cvent Event Diagramming: since August 26, 2026, new events can only be created there, and existing Prismm events can be edited through June 2027. After that, Prismm work is view-only.
If you're the bride or groom and your seating chart lives in Prismm or AllSeated, or you liked how it worked and want something like it for your own wedding, this page sets out what changes and how Linenfold compares. It draws on Cvent's migration page, Prismm's own pages and reviews on Capterra, checked on the date below.

Where Prismm and Cvent are the better fit
- Your venue or planner draws the room. Prismm was built for professionals who share a plan with their couples, and its work carries over into Cvent Event Diagramming, where Cvent points event and hospitality professionals. If your venue sends you a link to their diagram, use theirs: it's the plan the setup crew works from.
- You want to walk the room in 3D. AllSeated added a 3D layout tool in 2018, and venue teams on Capterra single out the 3D tours for showing a space to clients. Linenfold's floor plan is 2D.
- You plan many events a year. Prismm and Cvent are subscriptions for teams running event after event. One Capterra reviewer found the monthly cost a lot for only a handful of events a year, which is the other side of the same coin.
Where Linenfold fits
- It's your own wedding, and you want the chart in your hands. Linenfold is made for the bride and groom: the seating plan sits beside the guest list, the RSVPs and the budget, and it has unlimited tables on every plan, free included.
- You want the room to scale without a venue subscription. Complete draws the reception room in feet or metres, with tables at their real sizes, the dance floor, DJ and bar, and warns when a table overlaps another or runs into a wall. The seating PDF starts with the floor plan. Complete is one payment for one wedding, valid until a year after it.
- You'd rather not start on a tool that's being retired. New Prismm events are already closed, and editing ends in June 2027. Linenfold's free plan has no time limit, and you can export everything whenever you like.
- You want guests to reply online. Linenfold has a free RSVP page: guests find their invitation by name and reply, and the answer lands in your guest list, ready to seat.
Moving off Prismm or AllSeated
- Export what you have first. Cvent's own advice is to export the floor plans and reports you want to keep and save them before the sunset date. A PDF of your floor plan is worth keeping even if you redraw it.
- Try your chart in the free tool. The seating chart maker needs no account: add your tables, drag guests onto them and print. When it looks right, save it into a free account and it becomes your seating plan.
- Bring the guest list across. If you can get your guest list out as a spreadsheet, Linenfold's guest list imports a CSV, and each row can be a whole household.
- Redraw the room if you need it. Set the room's size, place the tables and fixtures, and seat households in exact seats. That part is on Complete; see pricing for what's free and what isn't.

The short version
AllSeated, now Prismm, is closing to new events and moving into Cvent Event Diagramming, a tool for venues and event professionals; existing plans can be edited until June 2027. If your venue or planner draws your room, follow them to Cvent. If you're planning your own wedding and want the seating chart, guest list and RSVPs in one place, start with the free seating chart maker and see pricing for the floor plan on Complete.
